Samsung appears to be working on a new processor, likely to be called the Exynos 2300, in addition to the previously mentioned Exynos 2400 flagship chipset. The Exynos 2300 is said to feature a unique CPU configuration with a total of 9 cores. This setup includes one powerful Cortex-X3 core clocked at up to 3.09 GHz, four Cortex-A715 cores running at 2.65 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores with a maximum frequency of 2.1 GHz.

Recently, a Samsung device with the model number SM-S919O appeared on GeekBench, showcasing a similar 1+4+4 chip configuration. While the reported CPU frequencies don’t align with the expected values, such discrepancies are common in pre-production hardware. The core arrangement strongly suggests the presence of an unreleased chip, as the Exynos 2200 follows a 1+3+4 configuration, while the upcoming Exynos 2400 is anticipated to introduce a 1+2+3+4 setup with a Cortex-X4 core as the centerpiece.

Limited information is available about the alleged Exynos 2300, but it is known to incorporate AMD’s RDNA2 architecture for its GPU. Beyond this detail, everything else remains speculative. However, if we indulge in speculation, it is plausible to anticipate the Exynos 2300 making its way into the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE instead of the rumored Exynos 2200. Only time will reveal the truth behind these developments.
