A surprising redesign of the ‘New Editor’ is being rolled out by Google Photos

Google Photos has evolved into more than a mere photo management app over the years, serving as a repository for cherished memories. To maintain its essence, Google consistently introduces updates to enhance the user experience. In line with this, the company has recently launched a revamped version of Google Photos, featuring a new web editor.

The new iteration of the app includes a visual makeover for its UI elements, along with fresh editing tools. Notably, the Contextual Suggestions tab takes center stage, presenting options like Enhance, Warm, and Cool. Subscribers of Google One can access additional features such as Portrait Light, Blur, Sky, Color, and HDR. This expansion was initially unveiled in June.

Furthermore, the Aspect ratio section now offers an array of measurements, including Free, Original, Square, 16:9 (9:16), 5:4 (4:5), 4:3 (3:4), and 3:2 (2:3). Users can also fine-tune settings like HDR, Brightness, Contrast, White Point, Highlights, Shadow, and Black Point. The inclusion of numerous new filters further enriches the editing experience.

Google Photos remains the official app designed by Google for smartphones, serving as a centralized hub for all photos and videos that are automatically organized and easily shareable. The app encompasses features such as shared albums, automated creation, and an advanced editing suite, adapting to contemporary photography practices.

Although each Google account provides 15GB of free storage, enabling automatic backup of photos and videos in High or Original quality, users can access these files from any connected device.
