Delivering DDoS protection for medium-sized networks with 5-10 Gbps Internet connections
A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a technology leader in application networking, today announced Thunder 3030S TPS as a mid-range platform of A10 Thunder Threat Protection Systems (TPS)™; a product line of dedicated DDoS protection appliances. Thunder 3030S TPS delivers 10 Gbps DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) protection, helping small service providers and mid-sized enterprises protect their businesses from costly and damaging DDoS attacks.
A10’s Thunder TPS product line provides network-wide protection against DDoS attacks. The Thunder 3030S platform provides cost-effective DDoS protection for medium-sized networks with 5-10 Gbps Internet connections. Thunder TPS supports flexible deployment models and enables easy integration with external systems through our RESTful API or SDK.
The Thunder TPS is built upon A10’s innovative and high-performance ACOS (advanced core operating system) architecture. The ACOS operating system will feature MSSP signaling functions which allows platforms such as the Thunder 3030S TPS to signal the higher-tier DDoS mitigation solutions of an MSSP, and escalate traffic when large-scale volumetric attacks exceed the end user’s Internet bandwidth.
“All companies of any sizes are at risk of DDoS attacks. Organizations must analyze the impact of an attack in every area of their operations and implement countermeasures before threats emerge,” said Mr Hayato Koeda, Vice President Asia Pacific Japan for A10 Networks, Inc. and President & CEO for A10 Networks, K.K. “Thunder 3030S TPS delivers great price/performance against our competitors in the 10 Gbps class. We are committed to support smaller service providers and mid-sized enterprise customers to cope with security threats.“
