A10 Networks, a technology leader in application networking, today announced that Song Tang Yih has been appointed Vice President of Asia Pacific (AP) sales. Song will utilize his extensive sales and executive leadership experience to further expand A10’s global sales operations, including channel and regional divisions. He will also be responsible for developing new and existing C-level customer relationships and will report directly to Ray Smets, VP of worldwide sales.

As a seasoned industry veteran, he is well suited to lead A10 sales regions within the Asia Pacific Theater, including Southeast Asia, Taiwan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.”
Song brings over 20 years of infocommunications sales and leadership knowledge to A10 Networks. Starting his career at companies including IBM and Lotus Development, he went on to serve as VP of Asia Pacific for Palo Alto Networks as well as F5 Networks, where he was a key player in growing both companies’ global sales, shareholder value and industry recognition. Most recently, Song held key management roles at Metech International Limited and Advance SCT Limited.

A10’s application networking technologies enable enterprises, service providers and other organizations to accelerate, secure and optimize the performance of their data center applications and networks. Recently, the company launched several new solutions enabled by the Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS) 4.0 platform. This specific release is the most significant since A10’s roll out of the 64-bit version of its ACOS platform. New features include A10 Harmony, an architecture that lays the foundation of a rapid services integration platform for enterprise, cloud and service provider networks-as well as other key enhancements, including Secure Interconnect IPsec VPN, SSL Insight, Application Access Management (AAM) and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
