Acer has recently unveiled two pocket-friendly handsets in the USA. Dubbed as the Liquid Jade Z and Liquid Z410, both the smartphones are expected to be available in the country by next month. While Apple and Samsung are fighting the competition with their high-end phones, other phone makers are simply surviving it by launching more affordable handsets.
If we talk about the specifications, Liquid Jade Z sports a 12.7cm (5-inch) HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core processor, the phone is available in two variants – a 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM variant and a 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM variant with storage expandability via microSD card. Packed with a 2300mAh battery, the device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It features a robust 13MP rear camera alongside a 5MP front-facing snapper. The handset includes HD speakers and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and Zero Air Gap technology.
On the other hand, the Acer Liquid Z410comes with an 11.43cm (4.5-inch) FWVGA display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Running on the same version of Android, the smartphone sports a 5MP autofocus rear-camera with LED flash besides a 2MP secondary snapper for selfies. Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, it is also available in another version with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Backed by a 2000mAh battery, the phone claims to deliver upto 5.5 hours of talk time or 400 hours in standby.
The Liquid Jade Z 1GB model and 2GB model costs US$ 229 and US$ 249 respectively, whereas The 1GB RAM version of Acer Liquid Z410 is priced at $129, while the 2GB RAM version is priced at $149.
