Acer One Laptop-Tablet Hybrid With Windows 8.1 Launched at Rs. 19,999

Acer on Tuesday launched its 2-in-1 laptop-tablet hybrid dubbed Acer One. Available exclusively via Amazon India, and also known as Acer One S1001, the Windows-based hybrid has been given a limited period price of Rs. 19,999 for the 1GB of RAM (DDR3L) model, and Rs. 21,999 for the 2GB of RAM (DDR3L) model.

The Acer One’s highlight are the four different modes in which it can be used -Notebook Mode, Pad Mode, Display Mode, and Tent Mode. The tablet ships with a bundled keyboard with an integrated 500GB hard disk drive that attaches to the tablet display via magnetic Acer Snap Hinge.

The laptop-tablet hybrid features a 10-inch HD (1280×800 pixel) display and is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3735F processor (2MB cache, 1.3GHz base frequency, 1.8GHz burst frequency, 4 cores, 4 threads) coupled with Intel HD Graphics integrated GPU.

The Windows 8.1-based laptop also includes a 2-megapixel rear and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. As for the storage, the Acer One tablet comes with 32GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The laptop-tablet hybrid features a 6000mAh battery with a power-saving feature named InstantGo is also included. The feature is claimed to let the laptop use 5 percent of the battery in 16 hours. Connectivity options include 2xUSB2.0 ports, 1xHDMI port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth v4.0.
