Apple is preparing to reveal a new MacBook Pro and other premium products at its “Scary Fast” event scheduled for Monday. This event, held around Halloween, holds particular significance as it marks the 25th anniversary of the iMac, a product initially introduced by Steve Jobs upon his return to Apple in the late 1990s. The first Mac, initially named the Macintosh, was introduced in 1984.
Viewers can watch the Scary Fast event live on Apple Events website and YouTube, starting at 5:30 am in India. Apple TV users can also access the event on their iPhones, iPads, and Macs by visiting the dedicated Scary Fast section.
iMac: An update for the Apple iMac is expected after an extended period of over 900 days. Despite the long wait, the new models are anticipated to maintain a similar design to the current versions. The forthcoming 24-inch iMacs, known internally as J433 and J434, are projected to feature internal design adjustments and an updated stand.
New MacBook Pro: Reports suggest that Apple might unveil two new MacBook Pros, codenamed J514 and J516, powered by the M3 Pro and M3 Max processors. The new processors could feature different core configurations, such as 6 high-performance and 6 efficiency cores or 10 high-performance and 4 efficiency cores. There’s also a possibility of additional RAM options like 24GB and 48GB.
Updated USB-C accessories: As part of the move toward USB-C connections, Apple is expected to release refreshed versions of accessories like the trackpad, mouse, and keyboard, removing the old Lightning ports.
