Amazfit recently launched the GTR4 smartwatch, which was quite large with a 46mm display, leaving many users unsatisfied. However, the company seems to have listened to customer feedback, and has now launched the GTR Mini 42mm, which is more compact and lightweight.
One of the best things about the Amazfit GTR Mini 42mm is that it’s available in pretty much every market and is priced quite affordably. The US price is $120, the UK price is £130, the Indian price is ₹11,000, and the EU price is €130.
The watch’s 42mm chassis makes it a lot more compact, and it weighs just 24.6g with a thickness of 9.25mm, which is thinner than most other smartwatches out there. This makes the GTR Mini 42mm much more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
One unique feature of the Amazfit GTR Mini is the quick-release strap mechanism. The watch utilizes 20mm straps, and the included strap is made of skin-friendly silicone. This is great news for those who might be sensitive to other types of materials commonly used for watch straps.
The GTR Mini has a 1.28-inch AMOLED screen on the outside. The panel’s 366ppi pixel density enables it to provide text and pictures that are incredibly sharp. A 280mAh battery is also built into the wristwatch. Although the battery appears tiny, it has a 14-day battery life.
The Amazfit GTR Mini 42mm is smaller and less expensive than the standard GTR, but it has comparable capabilities. That indicates that a proprietary circularly polarised antenna and an integrated GPS are both present. This antenna can improve signal reception considerably.
The GTR Mini is a versatile device that supports five global positioning systems and has a battery life of up to 25 hours with continuous GPS tracking turned on. With more than 120 sports modes and 5ATM water resistance, you can wear it while swimming and share your workout data with various apps such as Adidas Running, Relive, and Strava. It can also track your heart rate, SpO2 levels, and sleep patterns. The One-Tap Measuring function can provide you with an accurate report in just 15 seconds.
The watch runs on ZeppOS 2.0, a user-friendly operating system that allows you to add membership and club cards through the Zepp app. You can also create customizable shortcut widgets to access important information such as your to-do list. The OS does a great job of showing notifications from your phone, although you cannot receive calls with it.
The Amazfit GTR Mini comes in three colors, Misty Pink, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black, and is available at an affordable price point of $120 in the US, £130 in the UK, ₹11,000 in India, and €130 in the EU.
