Webcast helps solve a key piece of the IoT puzzle
Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, is conducting a webcast on solutions that will address challenges involved in building an effective WSN node.
The Webcast is focused on demonstrating the workings of IoT related applications, with specific interest in Wireless Sensor Nodes. The Webcast will emphasize on the shifting focus from the Internet (cloud, analytics, applications etc.) to the Things themselves. This means a aiming on the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) when dealing with challenges involved in building an effective WSN node – from picking the right sensors, choosing the right wireless connectivity solution (device as well as protocol), calculating the power budget, energy harvesting among others.
The recent advances in Internet-of-Things (IoT) are empowered by the continuous development of new integrated technologies. According to the “Internet of Things” paradigm Wireless Sensor Networks are expected to be integrated into it. Covering a wide application field, WSNs can play an important role by collecting surrounding contextual and environment information. However, deploying WSNs configured to access the Internet raises novel challenges, which need to be tackled before taking advantage of the many benefits of such integration. This Webcast is an attempt to carefully investigate and analyze the issues involved with the integration of WSNs.
