ITVoice News: Gionee M2 users can now update their startphone to Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The smartphone was running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and was launched in February. The company has provided detailed manual of easy installation.
After the update, Gionee M2 users will be able to use the device three languages including Hindu, Gujarati and Punjabi; TouchPal input method for competent typing and also with benefit of two games, Hitout Heroes and Boyaa TexasPoker. The update will also bring improvements to the Amigo UI, Game Zone UI and Gionee Xender UI. At the same time it will provide updated versions of UC Browser, NQ Mobile Security, KingSoft Office, Saavn, Google Maps and WeChat.
After the update, Gionee has mentioned that M2’s theme and wallpaper will turn back to default and even ‘V9’ search option will be removed from the device. For manual update, users are required to install the Android Driver and the SP Flash Tool as recommended by the firm. The firm has also recommended to take a backup before installing the update.
