The HTC One (M8) is receiving its Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India. We received a screenshot of the system update changelog and it’s based around the 4.18.720.8 firmware which amounts to 574.17 MB. That’s less than the 780MB update users received in Europe although the changelog doesn’t state a difference.
The update, which is released in a phased manner, is available over-the-air (OTA). It means that your HTC One (M8) smartphone will receive an automatic notification once it is rolled out for your device. However, if you are impatient to get the latest Android on your device before that, you will have to go for a manual process by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.
The Android Lollipop update for HTC One (M8) is over 574MB in size. Apart from the latest version of Android, the update brings a host of other features like the UI improvements, new privacy features, security enhancements, and ART as default runtime. Users will also find improvements in notifications, recent apps interface, search in settings and more. So if you have received an update on your device or have manually updated it, do let us know about your experience through the comments section below.
