Despite earlier rumors suggesting Apple might skip iOS 16.6.1 in favor of iOS 16.7, the company released iOS 16.6.1, alongside updates for other Apple operating systems like iPadOS 16.6.1, watchOS 9.6.2, and macOS Ventura 13.5.2.

This iOS 16.6.1 update is particularly important for its security fixes and is recommended for all users. While specific details about the security issues are not disclosed yet, Apple is expected to provide more information through support documents soon.
