Apple hires Nokia’s Lumia camera lead

After the company’s acquisition by Microsoft got the final seal, it looks like key Nokia employees are moving to other firms.

Lumia photography lead at Nokia, Ari Partinen, who was part of the team responsible for Nokia’s imaging focused smartphones such as the Lumia 1020, has moved to Apple. He revealed the move through a tweet saying, “Today will be my last day working for the amazing #Lumia family. In June I will start a new chapter in Cupertino, California. Much love!”

He also clarified in another tweet that he was indeed joining Apple.
