Thursday, November 28, 2013: The Apple iPhone 5C is reportedly outselling the Samsung Galaxy S4 in India at the moment. The new cheaper iPhone, was originally reported to be failing in the Indian market with the iPhone 5S taking it by storm. Now, it seems that iPhone 5C has started picking up the pace in terms of sales.
After their launch, iPhone 5S became the first Apple iPhone device to have sold out in India in less than 24 hours. iPhone 5C seems to have started selling more after Apple offered the exchange offer with the iPhone 4S about two weeks ago. Under this, customers can avail a discount of Rs 13,000.
In a report by Gizbot, Rajesh Kumar, a manager at a multi brand electronic store told the website that this month out of 10 units each of the iPhone 5C and Galaxy S4, he has none of the iPhone 5C units left, while three S4 units are still available.
Samsung has always been ahead of Apple in the Indian market, owing to its cheaper pricing and wider range of smartphones. Apple belongs to a particular segment of the population who can afford to spend as much on their smartphones. It is important to note though that the iPhone 5C and 5S are much newer as compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4.
