The new iCloud Drive that arrived with iOS 8, allows you to get 20GB of storage space for $0.99 per month.
ITVoice News: Apple finally unwrap iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iWatch on Tuesday, with some doze of surprises. The Cupertino firm has now revised the price tiers of its iCloud service, though the announcement was not made at the event.
According to the new pricing plans, in addition to free of cost 5GB of iCloud storage space to all the users, it has made few recent revisions with Google, Dropbox, Amazon and others, making the service a little more affordable for the users.
The revised plan now involves, payment of $0.99 per month for 20GB of storage space, the tiers scale to 200GB, 500GB and 1TB of storage space costing $3.99, $9.99 and $19.99 per month respectively. If we compare it with Google Drive, it currently offers 15GB for free, while 100GB, 1TB, 10TB, 20TB, and 30TB plans cost $9.99, $99.99, $199.99, $299.99 per month respectively.
The new iCloud feature will allow Apple users to save documents using any device associated with their iCloud account, not necessarily only through individual apps. The space can be used for storing backups and syncing photo streams. The Drive will arrive with iOS 8 on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but will be available to all users across desktop and mobile platforms.
