Apple Watch NikeLab limited editon unveiled, to go on sale on April 27
Apple launched the Nike+ edition of its Apple Watch Series 2 smartwatch in September last year. And now, the Cupertino-based tech company is set to launch another Nike-specific edition of the wearable. To be called Apple Watch Series 2 Nike Lab, the limited edition neutral-toned smartwatch will have all the features of its predecessor. In an official statement, the company has confirmed that Apple Watch Series 2 Nike Lab edition will go on sale from April 27. It’ll be available on both Nike.com and Apple Store. Under-the-hood, the Apple Watch Series 2 runs watch OS 3 and is powered by a dual-core processor. It also comes with a new GPU for better graphics and performance than its predecessor. As for the display, the wearable sports a second-gen OLED display that’s claimed to be up to two times brighter than that of the original Apple Watch. There’s also a built-in GPS for better tracking of distances, among other features. While the Apple Watch was splash proof, the new Watch Series 2 is water resistant up to 50m. Apple recently introduced a fresh line-up of bands for the Apple Watch. The new collection includes a wide stripe Woven Nylon band, standalone Nike Sport Bands and Hermes fashion bands with new colours. The bands are available on select Apple Stores and Apple authorized resellers The new collection of bands include Sport in Pebble, Azure and Camellia, Woven Nylon in Berry, Tahoe Blue, Orange, Red, Pollen and Midnight Blue and Classic Buckle with new buckle design in Sapphire, Berry and Taupe options. The Apple Watch is available in two different case sizes – 38mm and 42mm. The Series 1 watch comes in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver or Space Gray aluminium cases paired with a Sport Band, while the Apple Watch Series 2 is available in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver or Space Black stainless steel cases paired with a wide variety of bands.
