Apple will not release any new iPads this year, but a foldable iPad may be coming in 2024- Ming Chi Kuo

According to the most recent notes from Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple won’t be releasing new iPads until 2024. The iPad mini, which is anticipated to start commercial production in Q1 2024, will be the first product to be announced in the following “9-12 months,” according to the expert.

Anjie Technology, a Suzhou-based producer of “a carbon fibre kickstand,” will be the main benefactor of the 2024 release of a foldable iPad, according to Kuo. Even if the majority of foldables can stand on their own, the firm will “continue to benefit from the expanding trends of foldable devices, fitted with kickstands in the future,” according to the analyst.

Due to the lack of new goods, Apple is predicted to have a difficult 2023 in terms of tablet shipments, with a 10-15% annual reduction predicted. Nevertheless, introducing a new Mini and the first foldable Apple smartphone in 2024 will increase shipments and enhance the product mix.

According to numerous sources, the next iPad Pro models will have OLED panels and slightly larger diagonals: the 11-inch model will become an 11.1-inch one, while the 12.9-inch model will be replaced by a 13.1-inch model. Even a 16″ iPad may be coming, according to a report from December, but we’ll have to wait and see.

A 20.25″ foldable display has also been reported, which would be enormous and uncomfortably large for a hand-held device.
