Asus Is All Set To Launch Three New Smartphones At Zen Festival Event
Asus is all set to launch three new smartphones namely ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone laser at the Zen Festival which is to be held on August 6, New Delhi. Peter Chang, managing director, Asus stated that the firm is expecting to have a much stronger branding position in the India market. With an aim to woo Indian customers, the new phones by Asus are aimed at the selfie-crazy people and the lower price band.
According to the leaked specifications, the much-awaited Zenfone 2 Deluxe sports a 12.7cm (5.5-inch) HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 1920 pixels. Powered by a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor coupled with 4GB RAM, the phone is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 promising high scratch and damage-resistance. Backed by a 3000mAh battery, the device has built-in 4G/LTE connectivity for faster speed.
The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI. It has a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 wide-aperture lens along with a 5MP front-facing camera to capture exceptionally beautiful selfies.
The other flagship, Asus Zenfone 2 Selfie is a dual-SIM phone featuring 12.7cm (5.5 inch) LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS connectivity. This variant features a curved body for comfortable grip and has a rear and front cameras of 13MP resolution.
Last but not the least, Zenfone 2 Laser is a pocket-friendly device with laser auto-focus and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It sports 5.5-inch HD display. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, it runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) Asus ZenUI. Priced below ₹ 15,000, its connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi (including 802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS.
Interestingly all the devices come with a new version of Asus ZenUI with a fully-customizable interface. The phones would come with 100GB of Google Drive space with 2 years validity.
