January release from Asustek have been market blockbuster already, now it’s time to get ready for its next range of ZenFone series as well as the Android Wear from the mobile maker, which will also have a second version very soon.
Asus launched its first three ZenFone handsets in January and now the company is already planning about its next versions. Asustek CEO Jerry Shen said on 13 August that work is going on for ZenFone 2 line-up.
The ZenFone range has fared well in the markets but the makers are planning to come out with improved design, upgraded camera features, memory, battery life and user interface in the next ZenFone series. All of these phones, except one, will feature 4G LTE. The single 3G model will be priced at the lowest level. CES 2015 may see the launch of ZenFone 2, as revealed by Shen.
The mobile maker is also working on another Android Wear smartwatch, though the first one has not been launched yet. Investors have been told that the second Asus smartwatch will not come out very soon given present market situations for the product but Asus has already impressed Google a lot. Rumours say that the first Asus smartwatch would also arrive later but it will be cheaper than the other players in the market. Shen said it might get launched at IFA 2014 this September.
