Asus has started rolling out an over the air (OTA) update for its Zenfone 3 smartphone range. The update brings enhanced VoLTE connectivity support, making the smartphones fully compatible with Reliance Jio. The smartphones that are getting the update include Zenfone 3 Deluxe (5.7-inch, ZS570KL), Zenfone 3 (5.2-inch, ZE520KL), Zenfone 3 (5.5-inch, ZE552KL), Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL), Zenfone 3 Max (5.2-inch, ZC520TL), Zenfone 3 Max (5.5-inch, ZC553KL) and Zenfone 3S Max (5.2-inch, ZC521TL).
The Taiwanese tech company has also revealed that Zenfone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) and Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL) will be receiving the update soon. Asus has already rolled out VoLTE update for Asus Zenfone Max (ZC550KL), Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE550KL) and Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL). The company has already launched a couple of new smartphones in India in the first two months of the 2017. Earlier this week, the company launched the Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL). Priced at Rs 8,999, the smartphone comes in Black, Red, Gold, Silver and Blue colour options. It’s available on Amazon as well as offline retail stores in the country.
Asus Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL) features a 5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. Powering the device is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box, the handset sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. Backed by a 2,600mAh battery, it offers 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as major connectivity options.
Earlier this month, Asus launched its Zenfone 3S Max smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 14,999, the battery-focused smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
