Asus has added two more products to its IFA 2016 launches. These 
include the Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro 2-in-1 hybrid laptops.
The Asus Transformer 3 is a compact 2-in-1 PC that weighs 695 grams and is just 6.9mm thin. Having a spun-metal finish, it is equipped with a detachable Transformer Sleeve keyboard that has 1.4mm key travel, an integrated two-position display stand and a glass-covered precision touchpad. The hybrid is available in Icicle Gold and Glacier Gray color options, while the keyboard itself is available in four colour options – Stone, Charcoal, Taupe and Amber.
In terms of specifications, the Asus Transformer 3 boasts a 12.6-inch display of 2880×1920 pixel resolution. The hybrid is claimed to deliver enhanced video performance with Asus’ Tru2Life technology, which optimizes every pixel in each frame before it is displayed. Asus Transformer 3 is powered by 7th-gen Intel Core processors, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Connectivity options include a reversible USB Type-C connector that supports up to 10Gbps speeds, and a Thunderbolt 3 port that supports up to 40Gbps data transfers for connecting dual external 4K UHD displays. The hybrid comes with built-in fingerprint reader and Windows Hello biometric authentication support. There’s also a 13MP rear camera for capturing high-resolution photos and videos.
As for the Asus Transformer 3 Pro, it has an integrated metal kickstand with a stepless any-position hinge that can be configured at up to 170-degree angles. It comes with an Asus Transformer Cover keyboard that’s backlit and provides 1.4mm key travel distance.
In terms of specifications, the Transformer 3 Pro sports a 12.6-inch display of of 2880×1920 pixel resolution. It also has front-mounted stereo speakers with audio by Harman Kardon for better audio output.
Asus Transformer 3 Pro is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and has up to 1TB of ultra-fast SSD-based storage coupled with 16GB of RAM. It also comes with a reversible USB Type-C connector which supports speeds up to 10Gbps, and a Thunderbolt 3 port supporting 40Gbps data transfers for connecting dual external 4K UHD displays. HDMI and USB 3.0 connectivity is also there. At the back, the Transformer 3 Pro has a 13MP rear camera which can capture high-resolution photos and videos, and a front-facing camera with Windows Hello facial recognition features.
