The unveiling of the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra took place this week, and it is anticipated to hit the market in the upcoming weeks. With the launch of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, Asus appears to have shifted away from producing compact phones, adopting the “Ultra” moniker akin to Samsung and Apple’s “Pro Max” variants.
The latest addition to the Zenfone series comes in four distinct colors and is driven by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset. It features an AMOLED display and showcases various built-in AI functionalities, aiming to set new trends in the smartphone industry.
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra, a dual-SIM (Nano) device, operates on the Android 14 platform. It sports a sizable 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a remarkable screen-to-body ratio of 94 percent. With a peak brightness of 2500 nits and a high refresh rate of 144Hz, the display offers an immersive viewing experience, all while being safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It integrates advanced AI functionalities such as real-time AI transcript, a novel AI-based search tool, live language translation, and noise cancellation, among others.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra is equipped with an AI-powered triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX890 1/1.56-inch primary sensor with six-axis gimbal stabilization, a 13MP super wide-angle camera offering a 120-degree field of vision, and a 32MP telephoto sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and 3x optical zoom capability.
Connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, it boasts an IP68 rating, making it dust and water-resistant.
Powering the device is a robust 5,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging, promising a full recharge in under 40 minutes. The pricing for the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra starts at EUR 999 (approximately Rs 90,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model is priced at EUR 1099 (around Rs 99,000). However, it is unlikely that the Zenfone 11 Ultra will be launched in countries like India.
In summary, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra emerges as a feature-packed smartphone offering cutting-edge technology, advanced AI capabilities, and impressive specifications, making it a formidable contender in the competitive smartphone market.
