Asus its Zenfone 3 smartphone lineup in India in August. The series included the flagship Zenfone 3, the Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the Zenfone 3 Ultra. While the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is already available to buy in India, the company has now made its Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL) too available in the country.
The smartphone is priced at Rs 18,999 and can initially be purchased from Flipkart for a month. After one month, the smartphone will be up for grabs from other e-commerce websites and Asus Exclusive stores.
The dual-SIM supporting Asus Zenfone 3 Laser features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution 2.5D curved display. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM.
It offers 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). A 13MP rear Sony IMX214 camera with LED flash and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) is also included. At the front, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based smartphone packs 3000mAh battery, which is supposed to stay alive for 22 days on 3G standby mode.
Weighing 150 grams, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser measures 149 x 76 x 7.9mm and will be available in two colour variants – Glacier Silver and Sand Gold.
The smartphone sports an Aluminium body with diamond-cut chamfered edges. Asus claims that the Zenfone 3 Laser also boasts of a color correction sensor, which adjusts the colours in a photograph, making it look more natural.
It is worth adding that the Zenfone 3 series also includes the company’s most expensive smartphone launched in India till date. The lineup consists of the Zenfone 3 Deluxe with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor priced at Rs 62,999. There is also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 version priced at Rs 49,999.
