Asus Zenfone 4 smartphone to get Oreo update this month

Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus confirmed in August that it will roll out Oreo update for its Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 4 series of smartphones. The company, however, didn’t reveal the time frame as to when the smartphones will receive Oreo update.
Now, the company has revealed some information about the upcoming update. On its official forum, the company has confirmed that the Zenfone 4 will get Oreo update by the end of this month. However, the company didn’t say anything about the timeline of Oreo update of the Zenfone 3 series smartphones.
Last month, Asus slashed the price of its battery smartphone Zenfone 3 Max in India. The company launched the smartphone in November last year at Rs 12,999. The smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 3,000 and is now selling at Rs 9,999. The smartphone is available at all the leading retail and e-commerce stores in the country with the new price tag.
The USP of the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is its battery capacity. The device packs a 4000mAh battery which promises to deliver 30 days of standby time and up to 20 hours of talktime on 3G. The device also functions as a powerbank and it comes with USB OTG which allows users to charge the other device.
Talking about the specifications, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. It offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB by adding a microSD card.
The device boasts of a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies. In terms of connectivity the smartphone offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
