Mitron has introduced Atmanirbhar Applications on the Google Play store as a platform to explore applications that are made in India for several services and requirements. Atmanirbhar Applications seems to take forward Indian PM’s Atmanirbhar Bharat incentive, offering a fast portal for native applications to users. The application provides references that are based on categories such as business, e-learning, news, health, shopping, games, utility, entertainment, social, and many more. As of now, Atmanirbhar Applications is only accessible for downloads on Android systems.
Atmanirbhar Applications is obtainable for free on Google Play. It lets the user discover over one-hundred Indian applications that are made by local makers. It further has the option to take the Atmanirbhar Pledge to support Atmanirbhar Bharat’s action started by PM. The application requires no registration and once downloaded, it directly throws up references of all the Indian applications a user can download. This involves Aarogya Setu, BHIM, Narendra Modi app, JioTV, DigiLocker, Kaagaz Scanner, and even IRCTC Rail Connect.

The list displays the app’s size, the no. of Indians who have downloaded the app, and a short explanation of what the specific application does. 12MB is the download size of the Atmanirbhar Applications. Presently, the platform has claimed to host more than one-hundred applications and is planning to bring the total up to five-hundred by the end of 2020. The platform hosts a broad list of applications from groups such as e-governance, efficacy, agriculture, gaming, entertainment, lifestyle, e-learning, and many others. It looks to enable the discernibility of lesser-known applications.
By clicking on the Get App button which is next to the suggested applications, it will redirect the user to the Google Play listing of that application, from where the user can then download. No plans have still been proclaimed to roll-out Atmanirbhar Applications on the iOS platform.
