Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, announces a new fully-managed cloud solution that allows customers the flexibility to build new micro services and move existing applications to a scale able cloud model for better cloud control of application workloads. The fully-managed cloud solution is part of the Atos Canopy Orchestrated Hybrid Cloud platform, and a key component of Atos’ Digital Transformation Factory. This new solution is built on a new strategic partnership with Apprenda, a leading provider of cloud-native technologies for the enterprise.
Atos Canopy Orchestrated Hybrid Cloud
Offering one of the largest Cloud ecosystems available, this unique Atos open platform provides businesses with end-to-end managed and digital services over a combination of multiple Cloud types, giving businesses a purpose-built infrastructure with flexibility and ease of migration to manage workloads across private and public clouds. This new fully managed cloud solution, powered by Apprenda, is seamlessly integrated into the Atos Canopy Orchestrated Hybrid Cloud and more specifically on its ServiceNow ITSM platform.
“We believe the capabilities that Apprenda brings to the market will accelerate our customers’ ability to adopt current and future cloud offerings by abstracting the way their applications view and consume infrastructure,” said Michael Kollar, Chief Digital Officer and Global Head of Cloud Engineering for Atos. “Apprenda simply breaks the traditional paradigm of how applications are hardwired to their supporting infrastructure and software stacks, and as a result, helps increase the speed and agility at which our clients can move toward digital transformation.”
The Apprenda-powered solution provides developers with an easier way to spec out, design, test and ultimately, deploy new software. It manages both existing and cloud-native applications on the customer’s choice of managed public or private clouds including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Atos Canopy Digital Private Cloud and bullion™ servers.
“Enterprise organizations often want to focus on business outcomes instead of building a new cloud service,” said Sinclair Schuller, CEO of Apprenda. “We partnered with Atos because they are the leader in managed hosting services. This new solution gives customers the agility and cloud migration they desire encapsulated in an efficient, easy to consume, managed service model.”
The new solution is available now for all Atos customers hosting on public and private cloud models.
