Network ME industry awards spotlights Avaya & 2 key customers for technology innovation
Continuing its winning streak and industry recognition, Avaya has been recognized as the ‘Networking Vendor of the Year’ by ITP’s Network Middle East magazine. This award followed deliberation by an expert jury that included analysts from Gartner, IDC and Frost & Sullivan, who took into consideration technology innovation, business success, and customer and partner delight. This is the second regional accolade for Avaya this year, following the Network World Middle East ‘Networking Vendor of the Year’ award in April 2015.
The Network ME award recognized Avaya’s innovation in addressing market trends and demands, particularly through the launch of its SDN-Fx fabric networking architecture, which places it around 24-months ahead of competition. Avaya’s SDN-Fx architecture is the first to deliver automation and programmability for ‘connect anything, anywhere’ simplicity.
Network ME also recognized Avaya’s contribution towards the digital transformation of two iconic customers. Avaya’s work with the Dubai World Trade Centre won the Fixed Network Implementation of the Year award, and work with the Electronic Government Authority of Ras Al Khaimah won the ‘Unified Communication Implementation of the Year’ award.
Avaya customers who were shortlisted for awards included Kempinski MoE for Fixed Network Implementation, Sheraton Doha for their Wireless Network Implementation. A brand new category for the 11th annual Network ME awards saw two out of three finalists from Avaya customers – Mr. Abdulelah AlMeyman, CIO and Vice President – Information Technology, Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Robin Kurian, Director of Information Technology, Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel, Qatar.
