BenQ has launched its first BlueCore laser light source projector LU9715. For those unaware, devices with BlueCore laser technology have a high contrast output of 80000:1 with an extended lamp life and efficiency. For large-screen installations, the projector is available for Rs 18,00,000.
The company claims that the BlueCore Laser Projector features a brightness output of 8,000 lumens and has a dual color wheel system for better RGBY output. It also claims to deliver upto 20,000 hours of operation at full brightness without lamp replacement. A Custom Light Mode equally distributes screen brightness across multiple projections.
BlueCore LU9715 also offers eight optional lenses with throw ratios ranging from TR 0.38 to TR 8.19 for brighter images. In addition, the projector’s takes under 30 seconds to turn on or resume from blank function. Other features included are motorized zoom, lens shift, advanced geometric correction and liquid cooling. The projector also includes HDBaseT for long-distance full-HD signal transmission.
As per BenQ India MD Rajeev Singh, the Blue Core laser technology allows full control of light output, enabling a super-high 100,000:1 contrast ratio. As a result every subtle detail is revealed during dark scenes.
Earlier this year the company launched its W8000 professional home cinema projector at Rs 2,75,000. This was BenQ’s first home theatre projector with interchangeable lens options built for custom installations. With an over 22% market share in the Indian projector market, BenQ topped the market in 2015, according to market research and consulting firm Futuresource.
