BenQ has launched what it claims to be the world’s first DLP 4K UHD home cinema projector. Dubbed W11000, the projector comes with THX HD display certification and is said to deliver long-lasting picture clarity sharp colours. It’s priced at Rs 3,99,000.
The new BenQ W11000 supports 4K Ultra HD output with 3840×2160 pixel resolution, having almost 8.3 million pixels. The projector also incorporates single-DMD DLP technology, which ensures enhanced image quality and colour accuracy without any artefacts.
The UHD projector has wide-viewing angles and allows comfortable viewing of ultra-detailed 4K images up close, thus maximizing the usable screen size in a given space.
To fit perfectly into any home cinema setting, W11000 features H/V lens shift controls and 1.5X big zoom for precisely custom installations.
“W11000’s Active Iris and Dynamic Black technology “SmartEco” and proprietary black paint sealed light engine produces 50,000:1 dynamic contrast performance for fine detail rendition in the darkest and brightest scenes without washout to preserve every subtlety of the original content,” added BenQ.
BenQ recently launched its first BlueCore laser light source projector – LU9715. The company claims that it features a brightness output of 8,000 lumens and has a dual colour wheel system for better RGBY output. It’s also expected to deliver up to 20,000 hours of operation at full brightness before needing a lamp replacement. A Custom Light Mode ensures equal distribution of screen brightness across multiple projection points.
The BlueCore LU9715 offers eight optional lenses with throw ratios ranging from TR 0.38 to TR 8.19 for brighter images. In addition, the projector takes under 30 seconds to turn on or resume from blank. Other features included are motorized zoom, lens shift, advanced geometric correction and liquid cooling. The projector includes HDBaseT for long-distance full-HD signal transmission.
