Blackberry has announced that the smartphone will be officially launched on 17 December but the device is already available for interested buyers to place pre-orders. The company noted on its blog, “Hot on the heels of a highly successful enterprise event in San Francisco, I’m excited to announce that you can officially pre order BlackBerry Classic today.”
The company also teased an interesting handle on tweeter stating, “Finish this sentence: #INeedMyBB because…” The complete list of Blackberry Classic features has still been kept under the wraps. Donny Halliwell, Social Media Marketing lead at BlackBerry and Editor for the Inside BlackBerry blogs said that these details will be unveiled at the time of launch along with the global availability.
The company added on its post while keeping the details under covers, “The highly anticipated device is a familiar form factor with a QWERTY keyboard, navigation keys, a trackpad and the upgraded power and performance of BlackBerry 10.” The Blackberry Classic smartphone is notably inspired by a popular range of Blackberry Bold smartphones.
