Boost in Intel Hardware and Systems Innovation as 14 Startups from First Batch of Intel India Maker Lab Showcase their Products and Solutions

HIGHLIGHTS:
• Started in January this year, The ‘Intel India Maker Lab’ offered 17 startups with lab facilities for building their products and solutions in the areas of education, sports, health, agriculture, BFSI and e-governance across IOT, Cloud, and Client Compute.
• 9 startups have already launched their products in the market; 5 startups have their products ready and are moving to customer trial stage, while the remaining 3 are in the design stage.
• Strengthening Intel’s commitment to Innovation, the Intel India Maker Lab served as a key ally to Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Intel’s `Innovate For Digital India’ Challenge and supported seven startups from Top 20 winners of `Innovate For Digital India’ Challenge.

Intel Technology India Pvt Ltd (“Intel India”) hosted its first Maker intelLab Startup Conclave and Demo Showcase in its Bengaluru campus. The ‘Intel India Maker Lab’ was set up about a year ago to help startups accelerate their hardware and systems innovation towards creation of new products and solutions by offering infrastructure, technology, tools, and mentorship support.

In the first batch, , seventeen startups have utilized Intel India Maker Lab facilities for their projects in the areas of education, sports, health, agriculture, BFSI, and e-governance, across IOT, Cloud, and Client Compute. Out of these, nine startups have already launched their products in the market; five startups have their products ready and are moving to customer trial stage, while the remaining three are in the design stage.

The Intel India Maker Lab supported seven startups that came out of Department of Science & Technology (DST) – Intel `Innovate For Digital India’ Challenge.
