Bose launches Apple Airpod rival, SoundSport Free, at Rs 18,990
Audio equipment manufacturer Bose has launched the SoundSport Free, wireless headphones and SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker in India.
The Bose SoundSport Free wireless headphones comes with a price tag of Rs 18,990 and will be exclusively available on Amazon starting February 7. Weighing 10 grams the SoundSport Free earbuds can be connected via Bluetooth and they offer a range of 9 meters. Combined with a miniature acoustic package, including Bose digital signal processing, volume optimized EQ, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, SoundSport Free claims to deliver up to 5 hours of powerful, clear music – without cracks, pops, or hisses.
The device comes with IPX4 rating which makes them water resistant and sweat proof. When not stowed away, a new “Find My Buds” feature on the Bose Connect App displays the last time and place they were used to locate them quickly.
The Bose SoundSport Free comes in Black, Midnight Blue and Bright Orange colouroptions. “The SoundSport Free is the closest thing to what people have always wanted in a sport headphone,” said Brian Maguire, director, Bose on-the-go products. “They’re a technology-packed solution that’s stripped down to just two rugged earbuds that feel great, stay connected, stay in, and sound amazing.” On the other hand, the Bose Micro Bluetooth speaker is priced at Rs 8,990 and will be available on Amazon starting February 7. The Bluetooth speaker comes with IPX7 waterproof rating and is lets you enjoy music, take and make calls, and access Siri or your Google Assistant. The company claims that the device can deliver up to 6 hours of battery backup on a single charge.
When used with the Bose Connect app, it can sync with other SoundLink speakers for Stereo Mode (left-right channel) or Party Mode (to play music simultaneously).
The new SoundLink Micro comes in Black, Midnight Blue and Bright Orange colour options.
