EdTech giant Byju’s is facing ongoing challenges as three members of its board and its official auditor, Deloitte, have reportedly resigned.
According to the Economic Times, GV Ravishankar, Russell Dreisenstock, and Vivian Wu have stepped down from the board.
This development comes as Byju’s faces court cases with lenders, loan defaults, valuation markdowns, and delayed financial filings.
The company has not yet accepted the resignations. Following Deloitte’s departure, Byju’s has appointed BDO as its new statutory auditor.
Byju’s denies the reported board resignations and states that any significant developments will be communicated through official channels. Deloitte resigned due to the delayed financial statements for the fiscal year 2022. The resignations indicate a growing rift between shareholders and the company.
