Celkon has introduced the Octa 510 smartphone, listing it on its site. The Celkon Octa 510 is also available via an e-commerce website, priced at Rs. 8,990. So far there is no official announcement from Celkon.
The Celkon Octa 510 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It features a 5-inch HD IPS OGS display and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6592M) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Celkon Octa 510 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, while there is a secondary 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
On the connectivity front, the Celkon Octa 510 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery and is available in Black colour variant. It measures 143.5x71x9.1mm and weighs 136 grams. The Celkon Octa 510 also features preloaded apps like HotKnot (MediaTek’s NFC-like solution). Currently, the smartphone is available to buy via eBay India.
Last week, Celkon’s budget Campus-series smartphone, the Campus A400, went on sale via an e-commerce website, priced at Rs. 2,999.
