CERT-India advisory on a mobile banking malware called “EventBot” – Adam Palmer, Chief Cybersecurity Strategist at Tenable Comments
In light of CERT-India’s recent advisory that a mobile banking malware called “EventBot”, can steal personal financial information and prompt users to give access to their device accessibility services.
Adam Palmer, Chief Cybersecurity Strategist at Tenable comments, “Eventbot is a typical malware designed to steal data of financial applications on a victim’s phone. As organizations merge personal technology with corporate devices, these are one of many malware-infected apps that could permeate an organization’s network. As remote work becomes the norm, we encourage organizations to continually assess their networks for security vulnerabilities as it can help to prevent everything from unauthorized access to applications to identifying underlying software flaws that expose sensitive data.”
