New Delhi, 29th January, 2013: Comguard Networks, a part of Spectrum Group of Companies, Dubai and a leading value added distributor of global networking and security products across Middle- East, Africa and India. WinMagic Inc., a Canada-based data security firm jointly organized end-customer events on data encryption in Delhi & Bangalore respectively. The meet in Delhi was held on January 15th, followed by Bangalore meet organized on January 17th, 2013.
The main aim behind organising this seminar was to provide customers a platform to exchange knowledge, interact and develop a better understanding about significance of encryption. Encryption acts as a shield to one’s data, providing security to the authorised person’s records, at the same time keeping the work and access smooth and secure.

Followed by the presentations from the dignitaries, Mr. John Thompson- Technical Consultant EMEA & India, WinMagicgave a demo on how to create keys and encrypt data.
Through encryption, users can restrict access to personal files specifically or on a network. All files under a single folder or data partition are automatically encrypted. FFE increases the security of sensitive files by encrypting information on top of regularly fully encrypted hard drives. Users simply have to drag and drop files into the already encrypted folder.
The event brought together CXO’s, CIOL’s, CTO’s, IT Professionals and senior management in a collaborative environment to present and discuss issues relating to IT security.
The event concluded on a positive note with a good turnout of people.
