Comviva’s payPLUS Unified Payment Acceptance solution nominated for GSMA Asia Mobile Awards 2018
Comviva, the global leader in mobility solutions today announced that its payPLUS Unified Payment Acceptance solution has been nominated for GSMA Asia Mobile Awards 2018 (AMO Awards) in the ‘Best Mobile App for Business’ category. Winners of the AMO Awards will be honored during the Mobile World Congress Shanghai conference that will take place between 27-29 June at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC).
To keep up with new technologies and increasing customer demand for digital payments, merchants need an end to end infrastructure solution which would enable them to accept digital payments and optimize growth across channels. Comviva’s payPLUS empowers banks, telecom operators and merchant acquirers to equip their merchant partners with a unified payment acceptance platform that enables the acceptance of multiple payment instruments such as cards, digital wallets, QR code based payments, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Biometric payments like Aadhaar Pay. payPLUS can be integrated across multiple channels like App, Web and In-Store, thereby significantly reducing the barriers to adoption of new technologies.
payPLUS is easier to use for merchants as they don’t have to remember multiple passwords for logging into different devices, or worry about new technologies disrupting the market. With payPLUS merchants save many hours every-day that would have gone into checking sales across different digital instruments and channels. payPLUS provides merchants with a single interface log-in to manage all instruments, channels and technologies. Unified payments acceptance also simplifies reporting and reconciliation. Merchants get a single dashboard view of sales through all digital channels allowing them to take quick and informed business decisions.
For merchant acquirers, banks and telecom operators, payPLUS provides a unified merchant & transaction management portal at the back end which helps to simplify operations. payPLUS provides self on-boarding functionality, reducing onboarding cost and allowing the merchants to start accepting payments by just downloading the app. payPLUS has been commercially deployed by one of the leading 4G mobile operator in India for their merchant app.
Speaking on the nomination Srinivas Nidugondi, SVP and Head, Mobile Financial Solutions, Comviva said “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Asia Mobile Awards. We introduced the payPLUS Unified Payment Acceptance platform to make it easier for the merchants to manage multiple digital payment services and with the belief that technology should make things simpler not more complicated. The solution is getting good traction in the market as it unifies multiple digital payment instruments into single app and brings benefits to both the merchants as well as their acquirers. This nomination validates that payPLUS is a well thought through and right solution for today’s digital payment market.”
Announcing the nominees Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSM said “Congratulations to all nominees for the 2018 Asia Mobile Awards. The AMOs put a spotlight on the technologies, products, services, companies and individuals that are playing a leading role in the development of the Asia mobile industry.
