Coolpad has announced a price cut of Rs 500 on its Note 3 smartphone. CoolPad Note 3 will now be available at Rs 8,499, down from its earlier price of Rs 8,999. The handset is exclusively available on Amazon. Launched in October last year, Coolpad Note 3 was the cheapest smartphone to launch with a fingerprint scanner at that time. Coolpad Note 3 sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280p) display. Powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor, the phone offers 3GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. CoolPad’s first phablet in India, the smartphone has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cool UI 6.0 layer running on top. In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim phone comes with support for 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The Coolpad Note 3 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. Recently, the Chinese manufacturer announced the availability of regional language user interface and applications for its customers in India. The languages include Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The regional language support will be available on the company’s two recently-launched smartphones — Coolpad Note 3 and Coolpad Note 3 Lite.
