Central Bus Station at Vadodara in Gujaratis termed as India’s swankiest bus station.Built under a public-private partnership between the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) and realty firm Cube Construction, the five-storey terminus in Vadodara city is spread over 2.4 lakh square feet with a built-up area that is 1.8 times more than this.
The state-of-the-art bus station is termed as an Iconic futuristic development. The central bus terminal, located in Sayajigunj locality, was planned to serve as single largest commercial space in the city with a mall. The central bus station caters to more than 800 buses and 20,000 passengers daily.
Apart from basic transport infrastructure and passenger facilities, it consists of air-conditioned waiting rooms, luggage trolleys, wheelchairs, cloak rooms, two-storey parking lot, a commercial mall, eateries, a budget hotel, seven screen multiplex, modern budget hotels, gaming zone, gymnasium with yoga facility, 24-hr cafeteria, food courts, pick-up and drop-off points with facilities like digital display boards, path-finder signages and a public address system.
The central bus station boasts of round-the-clock security with walky-talky, CCTV monitoring and a sky-walk (connecting the terminal with Vadodara railway station).

Solution
Since the area to be covered was wide, requirement of security surveillance varied from one area to the other. As soon as a vehicle entered the premises, a security check was mandatory and license number plate recognition cameras were deployed into services. To restrict the access through only authorized entrance, perimeter was secured by deploying CCTV system and motion detection alarms were configured accordingly. Appropriate NVRs were chosen to generate optimized output. Similarly, various areas were equipped with suitable surveillance cameras and connected with NVR. Each area was treated as a module. Real-time feed with Video Management Software was made available on a video wall located in the Control Room. The surveillance system sends email/smsalerts on any suspicious movement of people and good. The primary focus was to detect unattended objects, loitering, vandalism, and unauthorized access.

The camera is equipped with an image Sensor 1/3″, 1.3Megapixel Aptina CMOS and has effective Pixels of 1280×960 withprogressive scanning. The camera enhances picture quality in varied lighting environments by Color/ B/W Backlight Compensation, White balance auto gain control. This camera is ideal for high resolution requirement in varied lighting conditions, even in low light or dark conditions.
These cameras were able to capture HD images in all types of area in any lighting condition.
2) DH-IPC-HDW3101:1.3Megapixel WDR HD Vandal-proof IR Network Dome Camera
The camera is equipped with an image sensor 1/3”, 1.3Megapixel progressive scan Aptina CMOS and has effective Pixels of 1280×960 with progressive scanning. The camera works on H.264 & MJPEG dual-stream encoding. The other features which provide enhanced image corrections are- WDR, Day/Night(ICR), 2DNR, Auto iris, AWB, AGC, BLC.
These cameras are ideal for situations which are prone for vandal activities.
3) DH-SD6220s-hn:2Mp Full HD 20x Network IR PTZ Dome Camera
These are PTZ cameras with 20X optical zoom and work on H.264 & MPEG dual-stream encoding. They provide a max. of 240 deg/s pan speed and 360 deg Pan rotation and an IR distance up to 100m. This makes them idle for parameter protection and tracking movements even in dark.

The system uses 32 Channel NVR with 1080p realtime live view and works nicely up to 5 MP resolution.
