Danfoss India, a global leader in climate and energy solutions, today announced its participation at Aquatech India expo being held between 11th -13th August at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Over the next three days. OEMS in the water space that are reliant on Reverse osmosis applications can witness energy efficient high pressure pumps and energy recovery devices that help increase efficiency by 95% being displayed at the reputed tradeshow.
India has 16% of the world’s population but only 4% of global freshwater. According to the industry reports, the demand for water is set to outstrip supply by 50% by 2030. It is estimated that about 40 to 50% of existing water supply is lost in urban distribution system thereby signifying the dire need to adopt sustainable technologies which will help in efficient use of water resources.
Catering to this need, Danfoss, a major energy solutions player in the country is supplying high-pressure pumps (APP) and energy recovery devices (iSave) for seawater Reverse Osmosis applications and for land based, marine, offshore and mobile/containerized applications. These high pressure pumps help in purifying brackish and seawater through a process called reverse osmosis.
The benefits of these pumps include low maintenance, high uptime, high efficiency and energy savings, less footprint, compactness than any other pump.
Pumps from this range include axial piston pumps (APP) for reverse osmosis in desalination and brackish water applications, PAHT pumps for zero risk of contamination and maintaining absolute hygiene in dairy industries, CLP pumps for metering, injecting and transferring chemicals, additives and other hard-to-handle fluids into production pipeline systems, gas wells and oil wells.
Mr. Rajesh Premchandran, Vice-President, Refrigeration and A/C Division, Danfoss India said, “We are happy to be a part of the Aquatech Expo and feel it is the right platform to showcase energy efficient technologies that help purify and recycle water. While procuring clean water is increasingly becoming a challenge for various industries, our high pressure pump solutions offer panacea by efficiently reducing costs and energy usage.”
The annual exhibition Aquatech expo is India’s largest show focused on water technology and displays the latest products and innovations in process, drinking and waste water encompassing the Indian water sector and is attended by over 6,500 visitors.
