Ice cream processing, Chillers, Cold storages and convenience stores applications will be the focus for Danfoss at the exhibition
Showcasing its latest energy efficient cold chain solutions, 
Danfoss Industries, a leading player in the climate and energy space, will participate in the 4th edition of India Cold chain show (ICCS) Mumbai between 16th to 18th December.
In the show, Danfoss will be looking to tap potential customers from ice cream processing sector, chillers, cold storages and convenience stores by displaying its newly extended range of products for cold chain industry in partnership with its local distributor Ishwar Trading. Products include its low temperature application: LLZ scroll compressors and LLZ Optyma slim Pack Condensing Units which are light weight, compact and environment friendly micro–channel heat exchangers which help in consuming 35% lesser refrigerant quantity.
Also on display will be its hallmark Danfoss OptymaTM Slim Pack, the new condensing unit designed for cold chain application which fits into a light and compact housing, and has already found great acceptance in the milk capital of India-Gujarat with many milk societies installing these applications in their plants to lower their total life cycle costs. Additionally the Refrigeration VLT Drive cuts the external component count, integrates easily into existing system and makes motors energy efficient thereby improving the energy balance of the overall refrigeration system and reducing its environmental footprint.
Addressing the stakeholders, Mr. Rajesh Premchandran, Vice-President, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Division, Danfoss Industries said, “As a key enabler in the energy efficient farm-to fork process, Danfoss plays a crucial role in saving energy and operational costs in the cold chain sector. Through ICCS, we would like to showcase our commitment in addressing our stakeholder needs in further strengthening their energy capabilities.”
According to the National Horticulture Board, the per capita availability of fruits and vegetables in India is quite low despite it being the largest producer of fruits and second largest producer of vegetables in the world. This may indicate a continued lack of logistics and storage capacity; despite the previous decades’ focus on building stronger infrastructure, especially cold storages facilities. While the cold chain industry is nascent in the country, the opportunity for growth is bright by adopting energy efficient applications.
With solutions that extend across a temperature range of -40°C to +10°C, Danfoss’ new LLZ range of products help in bringing down operating costs and meet the most demanding food standards in the country.
In addition to these, the complete Danfoss cold chain solution for display at the booth include ,ammonia application valves and line components electronic controllers (ERC & System Managers ) range of expansion valves, pressure controls and line components which protects the system against pressure and temperature fluctuations, impurities, moisture etc.
At this widely recognised platform, technologies and solutions will be categorised into three broad segments– Cold Storage, Cold Transport and Cold Supply Chain. Running in its 4th edition, the event is largely visited by high level decision-makers and buyers representing every aspect of the user industry.
