Company Moves Up Four Places Since Last Year’s Rankings
New Delhi — February 03, 2014 — Dassault Systèmes, the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced at the annual SOLIDWORKS World Conference in San Diego, California, that Corporate Knights has ranked the company fifth in its Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) index. Dassault Systèmes has moved up four places on the list since 2013 and is the highest ranked software and services company on the index.
Now in its tenth year, the Global 100 index is recognized as the gold standard in corporate sustainability analysis. Companies ranked in the Global 100 index are the top overall sustainability performers in their respective industrial sectors – and the 2014 rankings place Dassault Systèmes in the fifth position out of all the companies evaluated.
“At Dassault Systèmes we work to provide business and people with 3DEXPERIENCE universes to imagine sustainable innovations capable of harmonizing product, nature and life,” said Bernard Charlès, President and CEO, Dassault Systèmes. “We believe that the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform can help our clients implement their sustainability strategy and imagine products and services that are environmentally friendly, so that one day we can reduce the impact on the planet.”
Transparency, accuracy and reliability underpin Dassault Systèmes’ approach to sustainability. In each geographic region, the company has established a Sustainability Leader, who is in charge of reducing the environmental footprint and pushing for local green initiatives in their specific region. These Sustainability Leaders work with site-specific green teams that raise awareness of local programs and find ways for the company to improve its sustainability efforts locally, nationally and globally. The teams are responsible for implementing local programs such as recycling of office waste, green building certifications, use of renewable and efficient power, and bike-to-work initiatives.
