Datawind, following its January announcement regarding the launch of handsets with free Internet for a year, on Tuesday extended the programme to all its devices with mobile Internet connectivity.
The company added that the 1-year of free Internet browsing on all its devices via the UbiSurfer browser would be available only to new customers and on the Reliance Communication GSM network. Datawind also clarified the free access to the Internet would not include audio/ video streaming or local-downloads.
In addition, the firm announced its partnership with Naaptol, an e-commerce website, for an exclusive ‘UbiSlate 7C+x’ offer, which bundles a Datawind UbiSlate 7C+ tablet along with a Micro-USB keyboard and cover at Rs. 4,999.

“The overwhelming response and the resultant customer feedback from the recent launch of PocketSurfer Smartphone helped us take this decision. Starting today, Internet browsing access if going to be free on our entire range and we will be offering this special value offer with Naaptol as our strategic partners in growth,” said Suneet Singh Tuli, President & CEO, DataWind.
“At Naaptol we believe in providing exclusive product offering at most competitive price. This common ideology brought Naaptol and Datawind together to bring affordable technology at your doorstep.
