Datawind Unveils two Affordable Netbooks Begining @ Rs 5,999
The low-cost handset maker DataWind launched two new affordable netbooks at their manufacturing facility in Amritsar. During her first mission to India, the Premier of Ontario, Canada, Kathleen Wynne, visited the DataWind facility where she launched two new DroidSurfer 10″ and 7″ Netbooks. The New DroidSurfer 10″ & 7″ Netbooks are priced at Rs 7,999 and Rs 5,999 respectively.
The DroidSurfer 10″ and 7″ Netbooks are 10.1 and 7-inch tablets and come with front facing camera. The devices run on android 4.4.2 operating System and come with tactile responsive keyboards. The DroidSurfer 10″ and 7″ Netbooks are imbibed with 8GB, 4GB internal space respectively with features like Wifi Hotspot, Wifi Direct and Support for external devices (KBD/mouse/Mem key).
Following the product launch, ANI caught up with Mr. Suneet Singh Tuli, President & CEO of DataWind Inc, where he said, “I think there is a revolution going on with the new products and the implications of these will widespread in few years. I genuinely believe that every kid irrespective of their status, have the right to the education and that’s what we are working towards.”
