Based on the significance of computer in the all-round development of a child and its importance in a student’s life, Dell(NASDAQ:DELL) has announced “Dell Champs – 2013” School Programme, a 20 city student-outreach programme themed, “Education, Empowerment & Entertainment”. The programme is in line with the Dell’s latest campaign “I can do kuch bhi” emphasizing the importance of computer in daily lives in the areas such as studies, entertainment, research or browsing.

Krishnakumar, Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer & SB, Dell India, said, “Our objective is to connect with students and their parents together and discuss the role of computers in their life and how they can use it safely to help in the overall development of their child. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the relationship with the student community and creating a bond with them because they are the future for our brand.”
The programme features a technology-based quiz contest to provide the parents with a platform to participate with their child. This quiz contest will reveal the geniuses of tomorrow in 400 schools across 20 Tier-II and Tier-III cities throughout India.The competition will be conducted in three levels with the first being the “School level”, followed by an Interactive Internet Safety workshop. The second round will involve the top two school teams to compete in the “City level” contest, and the 20-city level finalists will complete in an online quiz in the “National level”.
The winning team of the “Dell Champs – 2013” will receive a Dell AIO Monitor and Rs.25,000 scholarship from Dell and their school will be awarded a Dell-powered study lab equipped with the Dell AIO, projector and interactive screen.
