ITVoice News: At the Android One launch event in India, Google announced a treat for Android users in India. It said that it will shortly allow Android users in the country to download YouTube videos and watch them offline.
It mentioned that by using the Offline YouTube feature, users on data network would get to watch video over and over again without worrying about the data charges and it would further even facilitate them to save the videos.
Thus the overall package involves download and video saving without running on the data packs, an initiate to provide Google driven services at cheaper rates. Streaming video would no longer remain as an option for the users.
YouTube executive, Ceaser Sengupta said that much of videos will be available offline in India for users to watch repeatedly.
According to Google around 40 per cent of traffic comes from tablets and mobile phone in India. However they have not yet revealed the date of launch. It would probably help in making YouTube service more attractive in the country.
