ECSIPC Unveils Automated Optical Inspection Solution at Automation Expo 2024 India

ECS Industrial Computer Co., Ltd. (ECSIPC) is excited to announce its participation in Automation Expo 2024 in India, where it will unveil its Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) solution, powered by the new LIVA P500 H610 Box PC. This advanced system utilizes AI-driven machine vision and graphics computing to detect defects and faults in R&D, manufacturing, and quality control processes.

The LIVA P500 H610 Box PC is equipped with an Intel® Core™ i9 processor, providing high efficiency and speed with its 24-core computing capabilities. The inclusion of a PCIe x16 slot allows for GPU integration, which enhances the AOI’s ability to accurately identify defects. It features robust connectivity options including 5G/LTE, wireless, and dual LAN, ensuring real-time data transmission with minimal latency. The device’s comprehensive I/O ports—USB Type A, Type C, PCIe x1, HDMI™, and serial ports—facilitate easy connection to cameras and sensors or enable upgrades with edge computing accelerators and additional storage. The system supports AI vision robot arms, making it versatile for applications in PCB, semiconductor, petrochemical, and construction inspections, and supports up to three display outputs.

Ken Cheng, General Manager of ECSIPC, stated, “AI machine vision learning enhances the accuracy and efficiency of AOI inspection systems. It significantly reduces time and labor costs while minimizing errors caused by human visual fatigue. Our solution can cut false alarms by 80%, improve inspection capacity by 20%, and increase overall manufacturing capacity by 5%.”

Alongside the AOI solution, ECSIPC will present a range of new LIVA Mini PCs and motherboards tailored for industrial applications. Featured products include the powerful LIVA Z5 PLUS and LIVA Z7 PLUS Mini PCs, the fanless M600 Box PC for smart shelving solutions, and the wide-temperature ADLN-IEI motherboard for parking surveillance and robotic applications.
