Chinese smartphone manufacturer Elephone has launched its G7 handset in India priced at Rs. 8,888. Released in Black, White, and Gold colour variants, the smartphone is exclusively available via Snapdeal.

The Elephone G7 is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) dual standby smartphone that runsAndroid 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution IPS display with OGS (One Glass Solution) and a pixel density of 267ppi. A 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor, clubbed with 1GB of RAM and Mali-450MP GPU, powers the handset.

The G7 bears a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera comes with Panorama and geo-tagging features. The Elephone G7 bears 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 64GB). Out of 8GB of inbuilt storage, users would only get 4GB to store their media files and other folders.

Connectivity features of Elephone G7 include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, FM radio, USB, and GPS/ A-GPS. The handset is 5.5mm thick, weighs 156 grams, and is backed by a 2050mAh removable battery that is said to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.

The smartphone might go head-to-head with Lenovo K3 Note, which was launched last month at Rs. 9,999. The smartphone comes with slightly better set of specifications including 4G connectivity, full-HD display and a bigger inbuilt storage. The smartphone however, comes with a lower resolution front-facing camera and is much thicker than the Elephone G7.
