Ericsson’s revenue in India rises 34%

ERICSSON
Ericsson today reported 34% jump in its India sales at SEK (Swedish krona) 3.2 billion (about Rs 2,559.88 crore) for the quarter ending December 31, 2015, on the back of investments made by telcos in infrastructure.
The Swedish telecom gear maker had reported sales of SEK 2.4 billion in the same period last year, the company said in a statement.
The company follows January-December financial year.
“Sales continued to be strong, mainly driven by investments in mobile broadband infrastructure to support the high growth in data usage. 4G deployments have also started,” the company said.
The full year sales increased by 74% to SEK 13.4 billion (about Rs 10,696.8 crore) as compared to SEK 7.7 billion last year.
