Mumbai, May 27, 2013: eScan, one of the leading Anti-Virus and Content Security Solution providers has been honored with the VB100 certification after being tested on Windows XP Professional SP3. The comparative review results have been published in April 2013.
VB100 certification is granted to products that meet the basic standards required to be recognized as legitimate and properly functioning anti-malware solutions. The comparative review tests amalgamated speed and overhead measurements and the products ‘RAP’ (Reactive and Proactive) response. RAP tests revolve around heuristic and generic techniques that help gauge the products’ detection rate in real time. The test significantly determines eScan’s ability to detect new and unknown samples proactively and provides the reader a consolidate score of the product’s performance.
The primary objective of the test was to estimate whether the anti-virus solutions are ready, both technically and aesthetically, for Windows 8. eScan Internet Security Suite was ranked superlative, in the WildList set and performed reasonably well when pit against a set of clean files.
According to Mr. Govind Rammurthy, CEO & Managing Director, eScan, “We are honored for winning the certification and believe that eScan’s regular participation in the comparative test has played a pivotal role in enhancing the product features. eScan’s VB100 certification continues to maintain a flawless record of 12 passes for the last two years.”
